Sugar Glider Sugar Bear Toys 2

Sugar glider sugar bears thoroughly enjoy playing with toys since they are such intelligent animals. The toys made for human infants are generally safe for your sugar glider sugar bear as well.

However, you should take care while picking up their toys, to ensure there are no loose strings that potentially can strangle the animal. In addition, look for cleanliness, longer life of the toy and noise considerations. Plastic and stainless steel toys are preferable due to their long life and cleanliness as they can be easily washed and cleaned. You may come across wooden toys that are generally cheaper but they don’t last long and will need to be replaced once every few months and also they absorb urine and other materials and constantly smell, as it is difficult to fully clean them. Remove any bells and other noise making toys at night from the cage of your sugar glider sugar bear. In most cases, the exercise wheel forms the favorite toy of a sugar glider sugar bear as it burns away that extra energy.  Don’t use a hamster type wheel because their long tail can get trapped in these kinds of wheels. Instead go in for more specialized wheels like Run-o-round™ from Pocket Pets made especially for sugar glider sugar bears.

Exercise balls are also a good option but keep them away from stairs, pool or sharp drops to ensure safety of your pet. A plastic 1 inch chain is a great toy that provides a natural replacement for vines and branches. You can dangle a ¼ inch nylon rope in their cage at night and see it all untied in the morning, and is a great way to entertain them as they love knots. In the initial stages of bonding, keep the toys at a minimum as they hinder with the bonding process. You can however put the toys in the cage when you go to sleep at night.
