Sugar Glider Sugar Bear Pros and Cons 4

Sugar glider sugar bears are extremely great pets for an animal lover and terrible for someone who is not, which means like any other pet, sugar glider sugar bears are not for everyone. Sugar glider sugar bears require love and attention from the owner and are very playful by nature. They like to spend time with their owners, like sleeping in their pockets, which is great for people who live by themselves. On the flip side however, if you don’t spend quality time with your pet, they may become gloomy and depressed.

As pets, they are no more or no less easy to maintain as compared with other pets, but one thing is for sure, that they require one of the lowest maintenance among all household pets. Unless they are scared or fear getting hurt, sugar glider sugar bears don’t bite. Their teeth, unlike hamsters and gerbils, are not designed for hard biting, so it only feels like a hard pinch. Sugar glider sugar bears cannot be trained to use a litter box, but they are very intelligent animals whose behavior can be predicted through body language, which means it is possible to carry them around all day without any occurrence of a mishap.

Their balanced diet consists of 75% pellet food and 25% fresh fruits and vegetables sprinkled with multivitamin. This diet is very cheap, costing about $10 a month per healthy sugar glider sugar bear. The odor of a sugar glider sugar bear is dependent on what you feed it, and excessive proteins, meat and live foods such as mealworms and crickets make them strongly smell. In addition, unneutered males emit strong odor to mark their territory. Normally, with a balanced diet and neutered males, they smell just like puppies.

In fact as owners, you will realize that sugar glider sugar bears are very much like dogs. They live for 12-15 years, are intelligent animals, performing tricks, require love and attention and love spending time with their owners.
