Sugar Glider Sugar Bear Pros and Cons 1

Sugar glider sugar bears, like all other pets, are not for everyone, and depending on whether you are an animal lover, they make a great or terrible pet. Sugar glider sugar bears are extremely playful and love attention of their owners.

They can make great affectionate pets for people who live by themselves as these animals love to sleep in their owner’s pockets. On the flip side, they need quality time and attention, otherwise they will become depressed. However, spending time is easy as they love to sleep in pockets all day. Sugar glider sugar bears are no more or no less difficult to take care of compared to other house pets, but are one of the lowest maintenance companion pets.

Biting isn’t a real issue with sugar glider sugar bears as they seldom do so unless scared or hurt, like any other pet. However, since their teeth are not designed to bite hard like a hamster or gerbil, in the rare cases of a bite, it is just a hard pinch and nothing more serious. Though sugar glider sugar bears cannot be trained to use a litter box, they are extremely clean and it is simple to predict their behavior and look at their body language, so that you can carry them around all day without any accidents.

Their diet is simple and cheap, containing ideally 75% pellet food and 25% fresh fruits and vegetables with multivitamin sprinkled on top. It is simple and will cost only around $10 per month to feed a single sugar glider sugar bear. What you feed your sugar glider sugar bear has a direct impact on their smell. If excessive proteins, meat and live foods such as mealworms and crickets are fed to your pet, they will develop a strong odor. A well balanced diet on the other hand means your pet has very little odor, especially if it is neutered.

A properly fed neutered sugar glider sugar bear smells like a puppy. From an owner’s standpoint, sugar glider sugar bears are pretty similar to dogs, in that they live for 12-15 years, love to play and spend time with their owners, are intelligent and do tricks.
