Sugar Glider Sugar Bear Potty Training 4

Sugar glider sugar bears are intelligent animals resulting in predictable behavior, and even though you cannot train your pet to use a litter box, you can still potty train it. Remember that like all other untrained pets, sugar glider sugar bears can be messy initially. However, they will never require a bath and keep themselves impeccably clean, just like cats, and never go to the bathroom where they sleep.

Just like humans, sugar glider sugar bears need to relieve themselves as soon as they wake up from a nap or slumber. To potty train your pet, you will require a few newspapers and baby wipes, in three stages. The first step is to gently rub the rear of your pet using baby wipes and gently massaging the tummy if required.

The second step is to stimulate the digestive system of your pet by making it move from one hand to another, for about a couple of minutes. 2-3 pellets and several urine drops are excreted at this stage.

The third step involves repeating the baby wipes for half to one minute in order to absolutely make sure there is nothing left behind for any unwelcomed surprises. Trained sugar glider sugar bears will take from a minute to five minutes in order to completely relieve themselves and will not want to do it again for 2-3 hours if they don’t eat or drink anything in the meanwhile.

There may be a few accidents in the initial training stages but with time, they will completely disappear. After you have bonded with your sugar glider sugar bear, you can safely carry them around in your pocket where they love to sleep. They will only move when they want to go to the bathroom, and you can notice the movement. Every sugar glider sugar bear has slightly different potty habits but it is easy to understand and train them.
