Sugar Glider Sugar Bear Pairs 3

It is not at all unusual to find unverified claims like sugar glider sugar bears will die of loneliness if you have just one, and personal opinions on the subject of whether you should get two sugar glider sugar bears. The fact from a veterinary viewpoint is that most pets are happy when they are in similar company, so they have someone of the same kind to play around with. Therefore if you can afford it, then it is a great idea to get two sugar glider sugar bears at least.

This is especially so for sugar glider sugar bears simply because these animals are colony animals by nature, living in a group of 6-15 in their natural habitats. Thus sugar glider sugar bears are very social animals and love to play and have fun. You will find lots of people who have a single sugar glider sugar bear as a pet and they seem to be quite happy. This is because the owner spends at least a couple of hours a day with the pet, playing and bonding with their sugar glider sugar bear. In such cases, sugar glider sugar bears do just fine.

Veterinary studies have shown that sugar glider sugar bears can get depressed out of boredom when there is a lack of human interaction. You can get some early signs of depression that include sitting idle and motionless for long periods, loss of appetite, fur pulling, excessive licking and self mutilation. Sometimes there is also a lot of barking though this may mean a lot of others things as well. If you want to buy a companion for your already bought pet, you should get it as soon as possible, as sugar glider sugar bears bond best when young. If you want two older gliders to intermingle, then you should allow sufficient time and do it slowly, keeping an eye on them just to be safe.

If you and your family can spend a couple of hours with your sugar glider sugar bear, then they would most likely be just fine. Otherwise, it makes sense to get another sugar glider sugar bear for companionship.
