Sugar Glider Sugar Bear Babies 7

After the very early bonding phase, you will require to pick up your sugar glider sugar bear when it is fully awake and moving around. The technique to pick up your pet works with baby sugar glider sugar bears as well as adults that have never bonded with people before. You should remember that these animals can be really fast, and so it is essential to have your hand ahead of your sugar glider sugar bear. You should also make sure that you pick up your pet real quick; otherwise there will be lots of running around and therefore considerable stress. Picking up your sugar glider sugar bear can be difficult and tricky while it is awake, so avoid this in the initial phases of bonding.

Take the fleece bonding pouch you would have got along with your pet. A good quality pouch will have a mesh window and good zipper to secure the animal inside. You should turn the pouch inside out to use it as a mitten. Then keep your hand in front of the place where your pet is moving, and hold it against the cage. This can get slippery as your pet wiggles out of your grasp, so hold firm. After you have gotten your pet, you should keep your index finger on top of its head and gently pull the body of your pet away from the cage till it is holding on only with its hands. After a few seconds, it will let go, and if it doesn’t, just use your finger to release it. After getting your pet out, you can zip it in the pouch, but make sure there a small piece of apple inside so that your pet doesn’t get dehydrated. Initially it is advisable to pick up your sugar glider sugar bear only when it is asleep but with time, you will be able to effectively pick up your baby while it is awake.
